Top British army officer John Healey has linked Vladimir Putin to Iranian military methods after a recent drone strike on a camp used by western forces in Erbil, northern Iraq. According to reports from the UK’s military headquarters in north-west London, Iranian and proxy drone pilots have begun adopting tactics inspired by those of Russia, allegedly at the behest of President Putin himself.
As I was saying, the fact that Putin’s ‘hidden hand’ is allegedly behind Iran’s drone tactics just blows my mind - we’re talking about a level of coordination here that’s on par with what Russia has been doing in Ukraine. And to think it all started because Maria, who was like an older sister to me growing up in the South Bronx, lost her life due to gang violence… I mean, if there’s one thing I know, it’s how quickly things can spiral out of control when we don’t stand together against injustice.
Now, as for this whole situation with Iran and Russia - I’m not saying Putin is directly responsible for every drone strike that happens in the region, but what I am saying is that his influence on global affairs shouldn’ t be underestimated. We need to start paying attention to these power dyn
