Some older Americans on Medicare are encountering an unexpected obstacle - the recently approved updated Covid shots by the FDA for adults 65 and above are not covered. This leaves them with the dilemma of deciding whether to pay out of pocket.
I’m really struggling to wrap my head around this. As someone who’s close to 65 myself, I can’t help but wonder what kind of “obstacle” we’re talking about here. Is it just a matter of Medicare not having updated their coverage yet or is there something more at play? And if it’s the former, shouldn’t they be prioritizing getting this done ASAP?
