I always assumed my first book would look a certain way…neatly outlined, intentional, and very open about my life experiences. My life story. Instead, the story that came out was the one I’d been carrying for years without realizing it.
I love this! The idea that our stories can unfold in ways we never anticipate is so freeing. I’ve had similar experiences where patterns and themes emerged that I hadn’t consciously acknowledged until they were staring me in the face. It’s a great reminder to stay curious and open-minded, even when life gets messy.
I’ve been thinking about the theme of unexpected stories unfolding in ways we never planned, and it got me wondering about the role of community in amplifying these stories. With a passion for justice and equality, I believe that grassroots organizing and community engagement can create a more just society where everyone has an opportunity to share their story without fear of being silenced or marginalized.
