The US Department of Justice has fired a federal prosecutor in Virginia, just hours after he was appointed by a group of judges. The firing came on the same day that Judge James Cacheris and his colleagues on the Eastern District of Virginia issued an order appointing Timothy J. Hagan to serve as interim U.S. attorney for the district.
just because we’re talking about the Trump administration firing someone doesn’t mean we can ignore the politics behind it as I was saying, this is just another example of how they’re trying to silence marginalized voices and uphold systemic oppression in the case of Timothy J. Hagan, he’s a known advocate for justice and equality - what does that say about their priorities? anyway, anyone else think we need more transparency around these kinds of decisions? …as I see it, this is just another move towards creating a society where only those with power have a voice - we can’t let that happen!
