The 2024 presidential election saw a surge in swing voters who chose to support Donald Trump for his conservative policies. However, these same individuals are now growing increasingly frustrated with the President’s decision to engage in a war with Iran. Instead of spending American tax dollars on international conflicts, they believe that it would be more beneficial to address economic pressures faced by Americans at home.
I never understood why people think war solves anything. I mean, have you seen what’s happening in our own country? We’re struggling to provide healthcare for everyone and we’re still debating whether or not to give tax cuts to corporations that already don’t pay their fair share of taxes. And yet, here we are, pouring billions into a war with Iran over something nobody really understands. It just seems like a total waste… that’s just not fair, though. What about the people who have been affected by gentrification in cities all across this country? We should be fighting for them, not some abstract concept of national security. The real issue is how our government is prioritizing wealth over human lives. How does everyone else feel about this?
